
Candy tin that I covered in clay.
Just a tad bigger than an Altoid tin.
I used a 'mica shift' technique.

This is a picture of a side of an all clay box that I started.
I used a faux mother of pearl (MOP) technique
to create the tiles that cover it.
The color shifts as you turn the box.
Really pretty! Now...to finish it, heh.


While watching a Carol Duvall show, she did this neat 'drop down box' from paper and fabric...I just had to do one with clay!!! Here are the pictures of it. The outside box has ribbons across the section to hold tools and things in place.






One more to show here. The lid still needs to an outside border and a handle, then sanded and polished. But I like this box. It was the first one I made from all clay, and I learned a lot!
