First Twisty/Latticino cane
My first attempt at a latticino, or twisty, cane.
I've always loved them in glasswork.

It was ok for a first try, but I knew I could do better.

Twisty #2Twisty #3
Attempt #2. Made both at the same time.

A bit better, more interest with the outside
twisting around a center piece...but very sloppy, lol.

Twisty #4
Another attempt. A bit better.

The center is still sort of sloppy but the outside
twisty part shows better and was easier to handle.

The pearl in the center gets pretty stretched out,
harder to see in smaller pieces though.

Twisty #5
OK. Getting much better.
Tried to make the pieces more straight and even.
I'm not always so good at that, lol.

Twisty #6
Yet another.
I didnt expect the center to look like 2 seperate 'ropes',
they should have looked more like a 2 sided 'ribbon'.

I like it anyway, even if it wasnt what I expected, lol.

Faux Turquoise
A slice of a faux turquoise cane I made.

Sarah's technique

My first attempt at one of Sarah Shriver's popular canes.

Poinsettia
a Poinsettia cane.

Sunflower
Sunflower cane.

Wolf
While constructing.

Wolf
Before reducing.

Wolf
Reduced.
I can see that I needed
more background.

The nose and 'outside'
back leg are distorted.
